This is the first video of the Integrated
Pest Management in the Home Garden and Landscape Video Series. This
series was created to support a Master Gardener Hands-on Workshop on IPM in the
Home garden and landscape. However, the video series may also be used as
stand-alone training for MG pesticide safety or IPM training. Since I am a
plant pathologist the videos in this series focus on plant pathogens and plant
disease, rather than insects, mites, weeds or other pest problems. However, the
pesticide information and basic approach to IPM overviewed in these videos can
be applied to other pest problems.
After viewing this video, viewers should:

•Know that IPM can be applied to a broad range of pests

that IPM can be used for managing various pests in production agriculture, home gardening and also for managing
